Acupuncture originated in China over 2000 years ago and has been continually developed ever since. It involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into specific points on the body which lie on meridians. Meridians are pathways of energy or ‘Qi’. The stimulation of the points along a meridian helps to remove any stagnation which is causing pain, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes.
